About

the photographer
Danny Lund with a telephoto lens on a winter shore

Danny made his first photographs at eight years old, on his father's Leica. The instinct never left — only the places changed: eighteen years in Africa, fifteen in China, three in Costa Rica.

The work returns, again and again, to water and the wild things that live at its edge — herons, swans, kingfishers — met before sunrise, from the water's own level. Each image is offered as a signed, numbered giclée edition of twenty-five.

Every photograph is taken from the water's level — waders, a floating hide, and a great deal of patience. Prints are made on demand at certified fine-art labs on three continents, so your print travels miles, not oceans.
